Environmental Field Surveys
Mid to late 2007
The Columbia River Crossing project team is walking through neighborhoods in the
project area to identify potential historical and archeological resources.
Cataloguing these sites will help the project avoid or minimize potential impacts
to community resources in the alternatives being studied.
We’ll be surveying homes and businesses for historic characteristics, and identifying
sites for future archaeological surveys. These surveys will be conducted entirely
from the public right-of-way, but don’t be surprised if you see someone
with a clipboard and a camera outside your house.
If you have any questions, suggestions, or concerns, please call Heather Gundersen, CRC
Environmental Manager at (360) 737-2726 or (503) 256-2726.
