The Columbia River Crossing project team is currently refining designs for
each of the project’s components based on public and local partner agency input.
Work in 2010 includes:
- Engineering a replacement I-5 bridge based on community input and CRC
Project Sponsors Council recommendation
- Receiving a report from an Independent Expert Review Panel
- Refining
the
light rail route
through downtown Vancouver

Meeting with community members
to help design light rail stations and park and rides in downtown Vancouver
- Receiving recommendations from the
Portland Working Group
on community connections and design for the Hayden Island light rail station
- Continuing design on improved
pedestrian and bicycle facilities

Developing a finance plan
- Talking with communities to hear concerns and provide information
- Analyzing community and environmental effects of the project for the
Final Environmental Impact Statement (EIS)
- Reviewing public comments on the Draft EIS and publishing the Final EIS
