Highway Options

The Columbia River Crossing project is analyzing several options
to improve travel safety, traffic operations and freight mobility on Interstate 5 and its six interchanges.


Interchange improvements will:

  • Add standard shoulders
  • Increase lane widths
  • Lengthen on- and off-ramps for greater merging and weaving distances
  • Create better connections between I-5 and state highways
  • Enhance traffic flow and capacity
